The Data for Children Collaborative with UNICEF is a partnership between UNICEF, The Scottish Government and the University of Edinburgh, funded until August 2022. The Collaborative seeks to improve outcomes for children locally, nationally and globally, drawing on the strengths of all partners to bring insight and solve problems using data and data science. The Collaborative is hosted by The Data Lab – an Innovation Centre funded by the Scottish Government and hosted by the University of Edinburgh. The Data Lab’s core mission is to generate significant economic, social and scientific value from big data.
The post is for the equivalent 35 hours per week and is a 2 year fixed term position.
The Data Lab allows flexible working and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and ages. As a member of the Collaborative you will play a key role in providing administrative support, primarily through working closely support to the Delivery Director, and supporting the progress of suite of projects being delivered by the Collaborative.
In this role, you will provide support across a portfolio of projects, following best practice, documenting, reporting, and planning. This will involve liaising and assisting project stakeholders to deliver to their committed timelines, supporting communications and developing operational mechanisms, such as policy guidance.
You will be qualified at least to N/SVQ3, ONC level or equivalent or have equivalent relevant experience of supporting the delivery of a product or service. You should have good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. As well as a good working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Email.
